TAEF Capital Advisors (TAEF Capital Advisors) is the fund manager for The Alternative Energy Fund, which invests in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) assets, primarily in India. TAEF Capital invests in sustainable energy solutions that meet the rapidly growing energy needs of emerging market economies while generating superior risk-adjusted investment returns for its investors.

The core team members of the TAEF team comprise of highly experienced professionals in investment banking/ capital markets/ power sector.

The company is led by Mr.Anil Chawla, Managing Partner, who has over 25 years experience in the areas of corporate lending, private equity and financial services in India and Southeast Asia. The former CEO of D.E.Shaw & Co.’s Private Equity arm in India, Mr.Anil Chawla led the completion of several PE deals in India including a joint venture with Reliance Industries to help their foray into financial services; media house Amar Ujala Publications; animation company, Crest Communications and renewable energy company Soham Renewable Energy India. Mr.Chawla continued to serve as an advisor to D.E.Shaw until 2014 after stepping down as CEO in 2012. Besides leading The Alternative Energy Fund Capital Advisors and SI Advisors, Mr.Chawla is also on the advisory board of executive search firm, Executive Access in India.
